CJ Emulous of His Image Ministries is a leader, humble minister of music through gospel rap and a man on fire for the Glory of God! Emulous, which comes from the word emulate- to strive to be better than, describes him best. Jesus told His disciples, in order to be the best, they had to make themselves least. Through his servitude and humility, he strives daily to be the best and grow more and more Christ like.
Goal and Vision: To bring all glory to God through obedience to His Word. By doing this CJ allows God to use him to lead souls out of darkness and into a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. The vision of his ministry is not only to create quality music but to raise up strong and disciplined followers of Christ. God clearly has His hand on this young man and this is only the beginning. This ministry of reconciliation has expanded across the U.S. and is reach and awakening lives world-wide.
Testimony: CJ Solomon was raised in the church, but strayed because he didn’t understand the significance of a relationship with Jesus Christ. He went full on for the enemy and was involved in everything Satan stands for. While 20 years old, he was incarcerated for shipping drugs to Hawaii. He was guilty of possession of drugs and a firearm. CJ was facing at a 10 to12 year Federal Prison sentence with a low of 5 years, which meant he had to serve at least 5 years before released! While in federal prison, he began to study the bible and came to understand who God was according to His Word. CJ did not want to live the life he was living any longer and told the Lord if he had to do 10-12 years, he deserved it. He also told Him that he wanted to be a changed man when he was released. The Lord is truly faithful and changed CJ completely. Less than a year later, he walked directly out of the court room on his sentencing day. Even though the "law" said he had to serve a minimum of 5 years, even though he pleaded guilty for his crimes, CJ’s true Judge, God, poured out His mercy and said otherwise. He poured out His grace upon this young mans life, for His purpose and glory. Now CJ Emulous is vowed to God’s will and the gospel is his passion. So many were led astray by the man he used to be, but God has given him a fire to impact lives with the good news, his testimony and his anointed music ministry of reconciliation.
History: Year-to-date, he has ministered at over 350 different venues (Churches, Award Shows, High Schools, Colleges, Festivals, Juvenile halls, Conferences, etc..) and on many occasions has returned to minister multiple times. He has received invites and ministered with world shakers such as T.D. Jakes, Myles Munroe, Andre Crouch, Flame, Noel Jones and many more! Is a member of Luis Palau’s Creative Arts Evangelist Team with partners such as Rick Warren. Has also, independently sold over 9,500 units in California. Though great accomplishments, CJ’s focus remains the same, “Glorify, edify and reconcile!”
