Born in Dallas, TX, Gary Raad (AkA Science Drop) was bred into a life of music. At age 3 Gary was taught a series of instruments through the controversial method of Suzuki. In this he learned to use his ear as well as his instruction. In 1989, Gary moved to Chicago and joined the ranks of many to make a home in the great city.

Playing with many punk rock and nu-metal bands during his high school years gave Gary the zeal for music production, but it was in the electronic music scene that Gary found true passion for the process. While his collection of gear started rising, his interests came back to the turntable as well. In 2000 Gary was introduced to the nu break scene which was forming well.

With influences like Plump DJ’s, DJ Icey, and Hybrid, Science Drop started to form a new world of Funky Nu Skool, but with that Chicago feel. As his taste and style moved to the rolling bass lines and funky beats, his production went with it as well. Now incorporating Electro, Progressive, Techno and Trance into his djing, as well as his production, Science Drop has captured audiences around the globe.

In 2005, Science Drop became the official DJ for The Edge (www.Findingtheedge.com), a group of people whose sole purpose is Jesus. His production reflects principles and truths as to what it really means to be a Christian. "Music that glorifies God and makes you want to dance will change the world".   On New Year’s Eve 2008, Science Drop performed on a Paris radio station, and in 2009 he was featured on the largest Electronic Dance Music radio station in the world, DI.FM.  2009 was also the beginning of his own hosted radio show, The Essence Of Diversity, which has featured Dj’s from all over the world.

2009 also saw God tearing down boundaries allowing Science Drop to play at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, one of the largest seminaries in the world who in its 100+ years in existence had never allowed dancing.  Science Drop’s original music has been released on multiple labels and can be found all around the world.  He also has recently become the owner of Deeplife Records, the largest Christian Dance Music record label in the world.

In 2010, Science Drop has been at the helms of two major projects already, mixing the Gods Djs compilation album "The Future Sound Of Worship", and has been selected to mix the Tastyfresh compilation album "Afterhours".  Adhering to God's calling and his experience in dance culture, you can be sure to see Science Drop involved in many things to come.
