(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) -- Contemporary gospel music pioneer and former Santana frontman Leon Patillo will be the featured artist at the INAUGURAL PRAYER EVENT on Monday night, January 19th in Washington, DC. Patillo will debut his new song “United We Stand” (which can be downloaded at www.myspace.com/leonpatilloministries) with a live performance at the event.
Patillo, who uses his musical talents at the Get Motivated Seminars (www.getmotivated.com) along with General Colin Powell, Mayor Rudy Giuliani, George Foreman and Suze Orman says, “It was awesome to be asked to do the INAUGURAL PRAYER EVENT. Anytime I can use my gift to influence those who affect our nation, God's purpose is definitely being fulfilled."
The singer/songwriter is perhaps best known in music circles for fronting the multi-platinum group Santana, as well as for his work with Funkadelic and Martha Reeves and the Vandellas. But for the past 25 years, Patillo has been on a ground-breaking contemporary gospel solo career.
