Dates Announced for Life Radio Network On-Air Personality's November Live Shows

ATLANTA, GA  - Emerging American comedy star, Akintunde, (aka "Ak"), has been invited to co-host the 27th Annual Stellar Awards nominations announcements/concert event to be broadcast live from Nashville on Saturday, October 29 at 7:00 PM (Central)/8:00 PM (Eastern) on Gospel Music Channel (GMC) affiliates across the country (check your local listings). Ak will share hosting duties for the event with the platinum-selling New Orleans gospel duo Trin-i-Tee 5:7.

Akintunde recently inked a deal with Life Radio Network, who added two nationally syndicated radio shows starring the comedian, The Akintunde Show and The Rebirth of Comedy Laugh of the Day, to its regular programing line-up. The Akintunde Show first originated in Washington, DC in 2009, and alongside his writing for Mo'Nique and Chris Tucker, as well as his contributions to Showtime at the Apollo and The BET Awards, make the Ak-man perfect for Life Radio. "With appearances on TBN, The Gospel Music Channel and others, we are so excited to extend his popular brand of Inspirational Comedy to radio,” said Michelle Price, President, Life Radio Network. "Not only does he have family appeal, he has a modern edginess that translates to all audiences. He is just plain funny, and we are looking forward to the success of this partnership.”

After signing with Atlanta-based Arrow Records in January (becoming the first comedian on the influential new indie label), Akintunde performed his third straight year on the 2011 Change Convention Tour, wrapped a second season as writer/producer on BET's The Mo'Nique Show, hosted “The Search for The One” (a national comedy talent search), hosted The Gospel Choice Awards in September, and, importantly, continued rolling out new dates for his increasingly popular "Rebirth of Comedy Tour."

Akintunde recently announced he will host 20 dates on "Acquire the Fire 2012," one of the largest and most highly-anticipated events on the faith-based music and comedy scene.
